"You've had a birthday, shout HURRAY!"

My roommate Merete is an amazing girl.
She doesn't have a mean bone in her body, she works harder than the energizer bunny and she eats breakfast every morning! But... she's one of THOSE people. The kind that doesn't want anything for her birthday - even a birthday cake. Well, guess what? She got one :)

Jenny and I refused to give in (or rather, to NOT give in) and ended up having way too much fun making her a cake!
It was supposed to be a surprise but Merete wouldn't even let that happen. Even though that part isn't her fault.
The following scene is what happened:

Door opens.
Merete walks in.
