I'll tell you a horrible, embarrassing secret: this is my fifth blog. Count it! 5TH! (Makes me cringe just thinking about the wasted space out there in the internet ...)
Anyways.. here was my in-spi-ray-cion:

Even if I were filthy, stinking rich I would never spend $118.00 on a cardigan! However, the inspiration Anthropologie provides is still worth the obsessing :)
Here's the Lindsey version -
grey cardigan: $16.50 from Nordstrom rack
embroidery floss: $6.00 from my 2nd favorite store (Michaels)
buttons: about $6.00 once i pick them out
8 hours of work while watching reruns of Ace of Cakes and Miss Universe: Priceless
(hahaha. i couldn't resist)
I bought an embroidery book to learn some basic stitches like the 'paris stitch' and the 'fishbone.' Embroidery is becoming a lost art. If you happen to have something embroidered its most likely been decorated with a machine in a factory. I have 5 rules for living and one of them is that experiences come before money. Spending time on my own clothing brings my mind closer to the details so that I can appreciate what I put on my body.
